Integrated Health Manager,
Katelyn Johnson, MBA is a leader in the corporate health and wellness industry. As the Integrated Health Manager at Cisco Systems, Ms. Johnson is responsible for the design, strategy and performance of Cisco’s onsite health care services and initiatives that impact employee engagement, health, and productivity. She designs, develops and oversees Cisco LifeConnections Centers, which are contemporary on-site, patient-centered, primary care medical homes with leading-edge fitness services and children’s learning centers, exclusively for Cisco employees and their families. To achieve the triple aim and a measurable ROI, LifeConnections utilizes a multi-disciplinary team of providers, and deploys technology to enable quality, coordinated care for a distinctive patient experience.
Ms. Johnson was instrumental in launching a SF Bay Area regional ACO medical plan with the Stanford Health Care Alliance using Cisco LifeConnections Health Center, a core primary care hub of the medical plan. Cisco directly contracted with Stanford Health Care, which is the accountable organization responsible for financial and clinical outcomes. To date, the plan has achieved remarkable health care cost savings.
Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Johnson was the Director of Satellite Services for ValleyCare Health System, recently acquired by Stanford Health Care. A key accomplishment was designing, launching, and operating LifeStyleRx, an award winning medically-based contemporary fitness center with over ten thousand members. Serving people of all ages and varying health status. LifeStyleRx provides outpatient cardiac rehab and physical therapy services integrated with full service fitness and preventive health programs. Previous to this role, Ms. Johnson was Wellness Director for Leisure Sports, Inc., which owns and manages high-end fitness resorts that deliver world-class service, contemporary facilities, and innovative sports and fitness programs to a discriminating clientele. She transformed under-performing divisions and increased revenues to record numbers by implementing high-touch customer service programs, and developing exceptional teams. Ms. Johnson began her career as the Corporate Fitness Director for Club One, a private health club company serving metropolitan corporate markets, and was accountable for all aspects of fitness operations and revenues for all health club sites.
Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in corporate health from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an Executive MBA from Saint Mary’s College. She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and National Academy of Sports Medicine. As a wellness expert working with hundreds of clients over many years, and a competitive distance runner, she firmly believes that exercise is medicine.
