Acting Deputy Director, Investigations and Fraud Prevention Partnerships Group, Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Kathleen has been with CPI since 2016 and served as the Senior Advisor to the Center of Program Integrity Director, the Acting Director and Deputy Group Director of the Investigations and Fraud Prevent Partnership Group, and the Director of Provider Investigations. In these roles, she worked with others throughout the Center to implement new processes to ensure proper coordination of thousands of healthcare fraud investigations between our law enforcement partners, CMS contractors and CMS components. Prior to her work at CMS, Kathleen served as Chief Counsel and Deputy Inspector General of Operations for the State of Illinois, Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Kathleen has a Juris Doctor (JD) from Loyola University of Chicago Law School and worked as a litigator for several years in private practice at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard. She also holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and worked for many years as a critical care nurse.
