Leah Cohen Hirsch is the Vice President of Medicare Affairs at Centene Corporation where she focuses on plan improvement and performance through advocacy efforts. This involves developing policy positions, articulating policy positions, crafting advocacy strategy and executing on the strategy. Leah also designs business strategies and processes for partnership development and execution as well as establishes business cases for funding partnerships with disease groups, consumer organizations and issue specific organizations and gaining agreement within the company. Prior to joining Centene, Leah was the Director of Government Relations at Anthem, Inc. where she led advocacy efforts for the Medicare Business.
With almost 20 years of experience, had the opportunity to work with a variety of different stakeholder across the healthcare industry – providers, consumers, and payers. In each of these experiences, Leah has pushed products and services in the market, prepared effective business plans, identified new opportunities to add to revenue and growth for the company.
Leah holds a Bachelors of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Government & Politics from the University of Maryland as well as a Masters of Arts in Peace and Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. In addition, Leah has a certificate of Health Policy from The George Washington University.
She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and three kids (Mikayla, Joshua and Zachary). In her free time, Leah enjoys baking, hanging out with her kids, supporting Terps athletics and anything Peleton related.
