As vice president of Marketing Operations, Leila Nowroozi drives operational excellence for the Aetna Marketing organization and contributes to business growth for the Aetna lines of business. Her core areas of responsibility include creation and delivery of annual enrollment materials across commercial and government lines of business, effective deployment of media channels, establishing governance policies around member communications, and supporting procurement, finance, and HR processes for Marketing. As part of the Enterprise Modernization and Digital First initiative, Leila also provides strategic direction to a cross functional team focused on streamlining member communications.
Leila joined Aetna in 2016 and previously served as Senior Director of Strategic National Partnerships for Aetna’s Strategy and Consumer Experience organization. In this capacity, she played an integral role in the development of the Social Determinants of Health Collaborative to ensure alignment and coordination on SDOH programs across the enterprise. She also drove the launch of Destination: Health, an external platform to communicate CVSH commitments to closing social gaps in communities across the country. Leila led Aetna’s national partnerships strategy working closely with organizations like Meals on Wheels, YMCA, and Unite Us, a partnership announced to address SDOH gaps for Medicaid and D-SNP members in select counties. She has been a strong advocate of integrating SDOH interventions in business programs and driving towards community and policy solutions.
Leila has held marketing leadership roles at Avalere Health, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. Leila received her Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and her Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of South Carolina’s School of Public Health.
