Vice President, Retail Outreach,
MVP Health Care
Mark Santiago, Vice President, Retail Outreach, provides leadership and strategic direction for MVP Health Care’s efforts to make people feel more comfortable, supported, and empowered when it comes to their health insurance. Retail Outreach focuses on maintaining an integrated presence in the communities that MVP serves,
as well as developing relationships with the state’s health insurance navigators and community-focused businesses.
Every member of the Retail Outreach team, starting with Mark, is committed to delivering a streamlined customer experience that’s focused on ease of access and breaking down barriers to health insurance coverage. The team has its own call center, where phone representatives make sure that people who want health insurance aren’t stymied by paperwork or processes. They follow up on incomplete health insurance applications and work with people through the enrollment or renewal process.
Mark has always been a champion of the underserved and disenfranchised. He joined Tarrytown, New York-based Hudson Health Plan more than twenty-five years ago as an outreach representative. Working directly with the most vulnerable people in the community, he saw how having health coverage can literally give people a fighting chance at survival.
At Hudson Health Plan, Mark became Senior Vice President of Operations before taking on his current role as Vice President, Retail Outreach for MVP Health Care. He is deeply rooted in the community and is dedicated to the welfare of MVP Health Care members.
Mark is a graduate of the Nyack College School of Business and Leadership with a B.S. in Organizational Management.
