Martha Heberlein, MA, is a principal analyst at the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC). Her current work focuses on Medicaid’s role in maternal health and implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Prior to joining MACPAC, she was the research manager at the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families, where she oversaw a national survey on Medicaid and CHIP eligibility, enrollment, and renewal procedures. Ms. Heberlein holds a master of arts in public policy with a concentration in philosophy and social policy from The George Washington University and a bachelor of science in psychology from James Madison University.
