Dr. Michael H. Taday PharmD., MBA is the Director of Pharmacy Professional Practice and Clinical Operations at Humana Inc, where he is responsible for the development and oversight of Humana’s Pharmacy Clinical Model consisting of the Medication Therapy Management and Medication Reconciliation programs, Humana Pharmacy’s Mail Order Pharmacy Clinical Call Center, Maximize Your Benefits therapeutic interchange program, Patient Safety and CMS Stars program operations, Humana’s Specialty Clinical Service strategy and operations, and Humana’s Retail Pharmacy clinical initiatives.  Michael has most recently built Humana’s Pharmacy Innovation strategy and he continues to deploy a portfolio of innovative trend bender programs across the organization.  He is considered an industry thought leader in the Pharmacy Clinical Program space with his participation in multiple national advisory boards and he champions the role of the pharmacist through disruptive innovation methodologies.  Additional responsibilities include Regulatory/Compliance strategy and oversight of all of Humana’s pharmacy assets – Humana’s national pharmacy distribution Mail Order and Specialty Pharmacies and Humana owned retail pharmacies.

Before taking his current role, Michael previously held the title of Clinical Strategy & Integration Leader where he was responsible for driving deep integration within Humana’s Medical and Pharmacy systems and processes in order to build a robust and integrated care delivery model.  Prior to that, Michael held the role of Pharmacist in Charge for Humana’s Arizona Mail Order Pharmacy where he oversaw Clinical Operations. Before joining Humana, Michael held various leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, PBM and retail pharmacy.  Michael received his PharmD. and MBA from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in both Biochemistry & Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona.

Outside of Humana, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, driving fast cars, collecting rare bourbons, and is an avid University of Arizona basketball fan.
