Omar Manejwala, M.D., is one of the nation’s leading experts on addiction and behavioral health. As Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Catasys, he oversees clinical affairs and leads new product development.

Dr. Manejwala is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. His ability to explain complex brain science and psychology in everyday terms has led to interviews in news publications, television and radio programs. He authored the bestselling book, Craving: Why We Can’t Seem to Get Enough, and frequently leads seminars and workshops.

Previously, Dr. Manejwala served as Medical Director at Hazelden, Associate Medical Director at the Farley Center and the executive chief resident in Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and earned his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School.
