Extend Coaching and Consulting
Rebecca (Becca) Pearce is a strong-willed, no-nonsense executive who spent the majority of her career in leadership positions within the health insurance arena. After starting at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Strategic Marketing she moved to Kaiser Permanente to lead the product development for their Medicare Advantage plans nationally. In 2011, Becca was chosen by Governor O’Malley to be the CEO of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. She served the state of Maryland for two years before returning to the private sector as a vice president within the University of Maryland Medical System’s health plan arm.
In 2016, after surviving and recovering from a brain tumor, she left the corporate world to run Extend Coaching & Consulting, an executive coaching and strategic advisory firm. Becca’s specific expertise is creating high-performing teams and working with smart, proven, high-level healthcare leaders who have mastered all of the lower rungs on the ladder, and who want to deliver at the next rung with confidence and poise.
Becca also serves on the Board of Directors for MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. She has an undergraduate degree in Socio-cultural Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA from University of Maryland’s Robert H Smith School of Business.
