Steve Blumenfield is Head of Strategy and Innovation for Health and Benefits North America at Willis Towers Watson. In that role, Steve works with clients and the business itself to “Innovate with Purpose” as a means to dramatically improve their ability to meet their objectives. This includes looking strategically at market developments and curating the evolving digital, virtual and traditional health and benefit landscape for client value. In that capacity, Steve works closely with venture capital firms, start-up leadership teams, and leading global employers. Steve is also the host of “Cure for the Common Co” podcast, which introduces innovative start-ups to employer clients.
In prior leadership roles, Steve served as Chief Marketing Officer for Prime Therapeutics, a leading pharmacy benefit manager; and as Vice President of Marketing for National Businesses at Aetna, Inc.
Steve serves on the faculty and Board of Directors of the Rutgers University Design Thinking Program. He is also a trained facilitator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and a frequent speaker on healthcare innovation. Steve holds an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School.
