The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for a variety of administrative functions in support of the Human Resources Department. The HR Coordinator must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Positively represents the AHIP HR Department both internally and externally. The incumbent should have a basic knowledge of employment laws, recruitment, hiring, human resources principles, practices, and procedures. A key function of the position will be to assist with the administration of the Talent Acquisition program.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the overall day-to-day administration, operations, and designated activities for the Executive Vice President Government Affairs and Innovation and the Federal Affairs Department. Serves as the representative of Executive Vice President Government Affairs and Innovation and the Senior Vice President Federal Affairs for external and internal queries, manages scheduling, correspondence, and travel, develops and manages project plans, and tracks/organizes strategic issues. Assists supported executives with project tracking and basic research and coordinates with department staff on special project work.
At the direction of the Senior Vice President for Federal Programs, this position provides policy and advocacy expertise on state and federal aspects of the Medicaid and CHIP programs in support of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) operating departments and member organizations. Responsibilities include playing a leading role in the development of AHIP’s Medicaid policy agenda; leading coordination between Federal and State advocacy efforts; closely monitoring and analyzing Federal legislative initiatives, health policy developments, and State and Federal agency policies; assisting in the preparation of concise analyses of key issues; maintaining close contact with our Medicaid health plan members and other Medicaid-focused groups; and pursuing other duties in support of AHIP’s advocacy efforts.
