Amit is a Board-certified pharmacist with more than 29 years of progressive experience in various aspects of pharmacy and population health. She received her doctorate in pharmacy from Creighton University in 1996. She also holds a bachelor’s in pharmacy from the University of British Columbia.
As a certified health insurance executive, her expertise spans PBM contract negotiations, PBM vendor management oversight, trend management, new health plan implementations and readiness reviews, clinical, formulary and UM program implementations, NCQA/URAC accreditation, pharmacy operations in managed care space, retail pharmacy operations, pharmacy product and benefit design, affordability initiative implementation, and reviewing outcomes through robust analytics and reporting in Commercial, Exchange, Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE Lines of Business.
She currently provides leadership and direction in the development and delivery of all Medica Pharmacy programs and services including network and product management, pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) relationship management to include contract negotiations, and ensures all programs, products, and processes fully align with corporate objectives to provide differentiated offerings to exceed market and customer requirements.
