Conor Heneghan, PhD

Conor Heneghan, PhD is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google. He received his BE in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, and his MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, New York. In 2003, he was a cofounder of BiancaMed, which developed a consumer sleep tracking technology based on radio-frequency sensing. BiancaMed was acquired by ResMed ( a leading medical device company in the area of sleep and respiratory medicine) in 2013, and he worked as a Chief Engineer at ResMed, prior to joining Fitbit in 2015. He has been at Fitbit since 2015 (acquired by Google in 2021), and has focused his research team on development and validation of algorithms for assessment of sleep, stress and cardiovascular health using consumer technologies.
