Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Priority Health
As senior vice president, chief medical officer, Elif Oker, MD, is responsible for driving the strategic planning for Priority Health to further its mission of improving health, enhancing the patient experience and effectively managing cost. In addition, she leads the Medical Division, which includes clinical and pharmacy programs, the development and coordination of population health programs and chronic disease management strategies.
Dr. Oker is a health care strategist and board-certified physician with expertise in health care transformation. She has extensive experience successfully working with entrepreneurs, investors and technologists, and in established organizations to drive value. Before joining Priority Health, Dr. Oker was the Chief Clinical Officer for Exponential Technologies at Carelon Digital Platforms, part of Elevance Health, where she led clinical product strategy and health system partnerships for a product portfolio that focused on artificial intelligence. Dr. Oker has also served in various executive roles, including digital transformation, population health and medical management while at Health Care Service Corporation. She began her career in academia as a doctor, educator and health system leader. In 2018, Dr. Oker was named among Notable Women in Healthcare by Crain’s Chicago Business.
