Elise Lockamy-Kassim
Assistant Vice President, Community Health & Center for Health Equity, Wellstar Health System
Elise Lockamy-Kassim serves as Wellstar Health System’s Assistant Vice President for Community Health and the Center for Health Equity. In her role, Elise drives alignment of policies and programs with the needs of medically underserved communities in Wellstar’s service area.
A former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Health Scientist, her experience spans topics such as caregiver health, lead poisoning prevention, asthma prevention and control, childhood injury prevention, and health equity. A Brooklyn, New York native, Elise received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Science of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Since 2019 she has served on the Board of Directors of Empowerment Resource Center, a non-profit community clinic headquartered in Fulton County, Georgia. Elise is a member of the Atlanta Regional Commission's 2023 Regional Leadership Institute and in 2024 was named a Community Outreach Champion by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
