Managing Director, Hospice Operations, Divisional Lead, Southern Pacific Agencies, Kaiser Permanente

Gina M. Andres is the Managing Director of Hospice Operations and a Southern Pacific Divisional Lead for Kaiser Permanente Care at Home. In this role, she oversees operational performance for all Hospice and Home Palliative services provided at 10 agencies and branches across Southern California and Hawaii. Additionally, she is the Operational Lead for Kaiser Permanente’s pilot within CMMI’s Value Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model for Hospice Carve-In, the only health plan in California participating.

As the Managing Director of Hospice Operations and a Southern Pacific Divisional Lead for Kaiser Permanente Care at Home, Gina Andres oversees operational performance for all Hospice and Home Palliative services provided at 10 agencies and branches across Southern California and Hawaii. Overseeing clinical and operational excellence for over 200,000 annual visits, Gina excutes regional strategy, care performance improvement, and new venture development. Additionally, Gina is the Operational Lead for Kaiser Permanente’s pilot within CMMI’s Value Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model for Hospice Carve-In, the only health plan in California participating.

Gina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of healthcare experience centered in post-acute settings and is a specialist in organizational change, startups, turn-arounds, acquisitions and integrations, as well as management of multiple sites and large geographic territories. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Gina served in roles such as Vice President and Managing Director for several large healthcare organizations.

Gina recently served on the Executive Board of Directors for California Hospice and Palliative Care Association (CHAPCA) and was a past President for the Association for Social Work Leaders in Health Care, Southern California. Gina is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Excutives (ACHE). She has delivered multiple presentations at the state and national level on social work, psycho-social treatment modalities, and hospice and palliative care.
