Dr. Scherpbier is a physician Chief Medical Information Officer (CMO) at HealthShare Exchange, the Philadelphia regional Health Information Exchange, focused on expanding the reach and relevance of information exchange in clinical care and population health. Dr. Harm Scherpbier is also an independent Health IT advisor and Adjunct Lecturer at the Jefferson College of Population Health, teaching Health Informatics and Population Health Analytics. Previously, he was the Chief Medical Information Officer at Main Line Health, a 5-hospital Integrated Health Network near Philadelphia, PA and held positions in software engineering and product management at Siemens Health Services, CareScience, Aetna US Healthcare and SMS.
Dr. Sherpbier is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA) and the Health Information Management Systems Society (FHIMSS).
