Josh Smith

Josh is a Management Consulting Principal Director based out of the Minneapolis office. Josh returned to Accenture in 2021, having started his career there over 15 years ago. In between Accenture stints, he worked for BlueCross BlueShield Association, UnitedHealth Group (Optum) and Portico Benefit Services. He led transformational product development initiatives focusing on end-to-end holistic wellness, value-based benefit design, virtual care, member navigation and other innovative offerings. These initiatives have led to reduced medical trend, higher levels of engagement, increased member satisfaction and improved clinical outcomes.
Now back at Accenture, Josh wants to leverage his robust set of experiences (payer, health services, consultant and employer) to partner with leading health organizations to transform healthcare to be more consumer-focused and produce world-class outcomes.
