Executive Vice President, Chief Digital and Information Officer & Dean for Digital and Information Technology, Mount Sinai Health System

Kristin Myers is a visionary leader steering digital and technology transformation efforts to align and support the mission and strategic goals of Mount Sinai Health System. Her departmental vision is to deliver transformational technology to drive innovation and optimize services, while improving the experience of the communities we serve. To achieve the vision, her primary goals are to drive agility in the organization to support our mission of clinical care, research, and education; optimize the department’s operations; and enable technology innovation.

Since joining the Health System as IT Director in 2004, Ms. Myers has achieved significant milestones that have differentiated and positively impacted the organization. Among her notable achievements are the expansion and increased adoption of AI and other innovative technologies, leadership in system selection and implementation of Epic clinical and revenue cycle systems, execution of the enterprise digital transformation strategy, leadership and execution of Mount Sinai's cloud journey, modernization and rationalization of the technology landscape, and promotion of a culture of inclusivity, resiliency, and innovation throughout the organization.

Ms. Myers is a nationally acclaimed healthcare leader. Her individual professional accomplishments include being selected as “Crain’s New York Business’ 2023 Notable Health Care Leaders”, “Becker’s Hospital Review’s Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know 2023”, “Becker’s Hospital Review’s 35 Hospital and Health System Chief Digital Officers to Know 2023”, and a nominee of the 2022 New York CIO of the Year ORBIE® Awards. Under Ms. Myers’ leadership, Mount Sinai was awarded the prestigious Health Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) 2012 Enterprise Davies Award of Excellence for its electronic record implementation to improve quality of care and patient safety. More recently, Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West received HIMSS Stage 7, the highest level of technology adoption. Mount Sinai Health System also received the “CHIME 2022 Digital Health Most Wired” recognition (certified level 9) and made Newsweek’s “The World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2023” list.

Before joining Mount Sinai, Ms. Myers worked at Cap Gemini, Ernst and Young, and the Cerner Corporation in Australia. She holds an Executive Master of Public Health from Columbia University and an Executive Chief Information Security Officer certification from Carnegie Mellon. She has been designated a Fellow of HIMSS; has received certifications in Program Management (PgMP), Project Management (PMP, Prince 2), and AIM Change Management; and is a Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems.
