Laurie Gehrt, MSN, MBA, RN, CSMC, FACHE

Currently serving as the Department Vice President for Care Management at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City – otherwise known as BlueKC, Laurie joined the organization in January 2020. She is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and execution of innovative personalized, comprehensive Care Management Programs, including Disease Management, High-Cost Claimants, and Complex Case Management with the triple aim in mind. Before joining Blue KC, Laurie was Vice President, Regional Population Health Executive at Cerner Corporation, responsible for population health management client success. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a Leadership and Management focus and a Master of Business Administration. Additionally, she is a Certified Managed Care Specialist through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Laurie also proudly served as a United States Air National Guard member.
