Lindsay M. Lang, JD

Lindsay Lang is the Director of HealthSource RI (HSRI), the health insurance marketplace for the state of Rhode Island. Lindsay’s leadership at HSRI is rooted in her belief that everyone should have access to quality, affordable health insurance. Lindsay has been a part of HSRI’s leadership team since its inception, first joining as Senior Legal Counsel in 2013, and later stepping into the joint roles of Chief of Staff and General Counsel. She has served as Director since 2019 and brings nearly 20 years of health policy experience and a proven track record of effective management and leadership.
Before joining HealthSource RI, Lindsay served as the Health Policy Director for Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Roberts, focusing on the development of a State Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders and the state’s implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
Previously, Lindsay studied criminal law, gaining experience with the District Attorney’s Office (Suffolk County, MA) and public defense work during her time at Suffolk Law School. Earlier in her career, Lindsay spent a few exhilarating years working on health policy and other domestic policy topics as a Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill.
