Nita K. Thingalaya

North America Senior Director Medical Evidence Generation & Innovation, Sanofi

Dr. Nita K Thingalaya holds extensive experience and leadership in evidence generation and has navigated the dynamic digital health landscape during her tenure as US Digital Healthcare Medical Director at Sanofi. Notably, she has also served as the Chairperson for the Clinical Evidence Task Group for Digital Therapeutics Alliance.

Prior to her time at Sanofi, Dr. Thingalaya held a pivotal role at Independence Blue Cross (IBC). As the Medical Director for Policy, she represented IBC at the national level on the medical policy panel for Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). She has designed clinical trials and pilot studies and has supported various endeavors on policy, reimbursement, and commercial strategy. Additionally, she served as the chairperson for the Da Vinci interoperability committee for payor coverage decision exchange. Her expertise is further reflected in her certification as a Health Insurance Executive from America’s Health Insurance Program (AHIP).

Dr. Thingalaya's career began as a clinical research scientist in Immunology at Temple University, followed by her clinical practice as a hospitalist at Mainline Health. She holds board certifications in internal medicine, medical affairs, and obesity medicine, showcasing her commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development.
