Sushma is the Vice President, Business Applications Development at Independence Blue Cross. She is responsible for leading all elements of application development, maintenance, and engineering for Independence Blue Cross and its subsidiaries. She is an enthusiastic technologist and problem solver, collaborating with business areas on how to best leverage digital capabilities and emerging technologies. Sushma has a wealth of experience in driving digital solutions and technology operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Independence, she spent more than thirteen years with Bank of America, most recently as SVP, Investment Management and Consumer Banking. Sushma earned a master’s of computer applications from India, and a master’s of business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
