Vanessa Toney Bobb MD, PhD is Vice President of Behavioral and Medical Integration at Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan. She is a board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, and a certified health insurance executive. Dr. Bobb provides physician leadership for the administration of behavioral health benefits for children and adults; and chairs several BH utilization management and quality committees. In addition, Dr. Bobb co-directs the Medicaid managed care children’s system implementation.
A graduate of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Dr. Bobb has treated youth and adults with complex psychiatric and physical health comorbidities. She has presented on topics related to mental health and addiction disorders, health disparities, Value Based Programs (VBPs) and health plan initiatives. Dr Bobb was awarded honors of distinction for psychiatric excellence, and serves as an ad hoc peer reviewer for the National Institutes of Health Child Health and Human Development, Scientific Review Branch. She is a past Behavioral Health Co-Leader of the Alliance of Community Health Plans, a former executive committee member of New York Public Psychiatry, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and serves on the board of directors of the YWCA-Northeast New York.
