This evening, trade associations representing partners across the entire health care spectrum came together with one voice in a letter to Vice President Pence and Congressional leaders. In it, we emphasize our unwavering support in defending Americans from COVID-19, and express the immediate need for our nation’s leaders to take essential actions now to ensure that America has the resources to protect and care for our communities.
This is an unprecedented demonstration of partnership and collaboration in the health care industry. And it is happening now, because we unanimously agree that by the private market and government coming together as one, we can effectively protect and care for the American people.
The letter concludes with our commitment: “This moment challenges all of us. And we will do everything possible to ensure that the private sector and government collaborate and cooperate on behalf of the American people. We will deliver by working together.”
