About This Webinar

Growth in primary care physicians (PCPs) has flattened, and gaps in primary care are making it harder for patients to access care. At the same time, payers face challenges with value-based arrangements including data and success measurement. There’s an opportunity for pharmacists to fill some of the access to care gaps through discrete, high-value services that will benefit payers as well as patients.

While access to care challenges continue to emerge, there’s an opportunity for pharmacists to fill gaps in the primary care landscape by providing clinical services in the community, meeting patients where they are. These discrete, high-value patient care services include medication adherence and synchronization, vaccinations, blood pressure screenings, and other preventative care such as testing, HIV prevention and reproductive health services. But key industry stakeholders must align on the policy, technology, and payment related steps to fully unlock pharmacists’ potential.

Attendees Will Learn About

  • Current trends impacting patient access to care
  • Opportunities and barriers to working with pharmacists
  • Examples where clinical services were performed by pharmacists and provided value to payers and patients
  • How health plans can benefit from and drive care team evolution
